SECRID ART COLLECTION
LIMITED EDITION WALLETS

THE ‘NIGHT WATCH’

Secrid has created a collection of wallets inspired by Dutch masterpieces from the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. In his largest and most famous painting, Rembrandt masterfully uses chiaroscuro, the contrast between light and dark, to focus on particular details. The nickname Night Watch originates in the 18th century, when the painting was thought to represent a nocturnal scene. The dark tones and light details of the Night Watch make this wallet subtle and spectacular at the same time.

GIRL WITH A PEARL EARRING

Secrid has created a collection of wallets inspired by Dutch masterpieces from the Mauritshuis in The Hague: A small world-class museum with a formidable collection of Dutch painting from the age of Rembrandt and Vermeer. The Girl with a Pearl Earring is one the most iconic works of the Dutch Masters. Vermeer was the master of light. This is shown here in the softness of the girl’s face and the glimmers of light on her moist lips. And of course the pearl, consisting only of a few masterfully placed brushstrokes, which takes center stage on the wallet.

STILL LIFE WITH FLOWERS

Secrid has created a collection of wallets inspired by Dutch masterpieces from the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. Still lives of flowers were a popular subject in the Golden Age of Dutch art and Jacob Vosmaer is regarded as a preeminent painter of the genre. Vosmaer’s masterpiece can be found in the Rijksmuseum’s Gallery of Honour. The richness of colour in Vosmaer’s composition makes this wallet an ideal fashion accessory.

THE GOLDFINCH

Secrid has created a collection of wallets inspired by Dutch masterpieces from the Mauritshuis in The Hague: A small world-class museum with a formidable collection of Dutch painting from the age of Rembrandt and Vermeer. Fabritius’ painting depicts a goldfinch in life size. Goldfinches were popular pets, as they could be taught tricks like drawing water from a bowl with a miniature bucket. High detail printing ensures that the individual brushstrokes are distinguishable on the leather wallet.
